Residential Community
Student residents live in “The Cottage,” located next door to the Wesley Foundation building on Lewis Mountain Road. In addition to formal and informal gatherings amongst residents, community members also meet regularly with the campus minister and the pastor of Wesley Memorial for prayer, reflection, fun, and retreats.
Living in the Wesley Residential Community is an intentional act and a significant part of one’s faith journey. It involves both privilege and obligation. Members of the community live in covenantal relationship with one another and make this a top priority for the year.
Members agree to:
· Participate in the life of the Wesley Foundation
· Provide hospitality for the larger community and welcome guests to the house and to the Wesley Foundation
· Attend residential community meetings 2 times per month, for theological discussion and reflection
· Attend a community retreat at the start of each semester
· Pray for one another and for the Wesley community
· Act as stewards of the Wesley Foundation building by locking and unlocking it daily, removing trash and recycling containers weekly, and washing the kitchen towels each week.
